Keep your website and Google listing in step
Your Google listing is often what customers see before your website, and local SEO starts with details that are complete and right. Profile Sync is part of your Stride website: change your hours, a holiday closure, your phone number or your links once, and your website, the structured data search engines read on it and your Google Business Profile follow, for every location.

One change, everywhere it shows
Add a holiday closure once: your website shows you closed, its structured data describes the closure for search engines and AI assistants, and your Google listing follows. When the day is over, the entry expires on its own.
Every location, its own Google listing
Each location is linked to its own Google Business Profile listing and syncs on its own. Open one to see when it last updated, or pause it while you change things: the others carry on.
Selective sync
For each location, choose which details Stride updates on Google: your categories, your links, and up to 33 details Google offers, from payment methods to outdoor seating. Everything else stays as you set it on Google.
Where your details show
Your website
Your hours, the open or closed badge and your links, on every page of your Stride site.
Search engines and AI assistants
The same details as structured data (JSON-LD), the summary of your business they read on each page, and in an llms.txt file (soon).
Google Search and Maps
Your Google Business Profile, location by location: what people see when they look you up.
What Profile Sync does
Opening and special hours
Regular hours, holiday closures and special hours, each with a reason shown to customers.
Public holidays proposed
A public-holiday calendar proposes the coming holidays that still have no hours.

Closed listings flagged
A location Google shows as temporarily or permanently closed is marked as closed in your dashboard.
Structured data on your site
Your hours, special hours and each location, described for search engines with nothing to set up.
Unverified listings flagged
A listing Google has not verified yet is flagged, with where to finish the verification.
Questions about Profile Sync
How do I connect Google?
Once your website is published, open Grow › Visibility › Google Business in your dashboard and connect the Google account that manages your profile. Then pick each location and its Google listing, and choose what Stride updates.
Which details does Stride change on Google?
Your phone number, website, categories, opening hours, special hours and closures, your table booking, ordering, appointment and menu links, and the listing details you choose, such as Wi-Fi or outdoor seating. Your photos, description and posts stay as you set them on Google.
How long does it take for Google Business to update?
Most changes are sent to Google straight away, and every location is sent again at least every 5 days. Google checks some details before showing them, above all the website, the phone number and the links, which takes longer.
Does Profile Sync help my local SEO?
Google says that complete business information, special hours included, helps your listing show for the right local searches, and that a listing with wrong details might not show up for them. Profile Sync keeps the details it syncs right, and the same on your website and on Google. No tool can promise you a ranking.
I use another tool or an agency for my listing. Can both update it?
Yes, so decide who updates what. With selective sync, switch off in Stride the details your other tool looks after, location by location, and Stride leaves them alone on Google.
Do I need a website for a Google Business Profile?
Google does not require one. Your website is where your listing sends people: to your menu, your booking page and the details a listing has no room for. With Stride, the two say the same thing.
If I edit my listing on Google, does Stride follow?
No. Updates go one way, from Stride to Google: change the synced details in Stride, so your website and your listing say the same.
Why does Google say my listing is not verified?
Google only applies updates to a listing its owner has verified. Finish the verification on business.google.com, and your changes start reaching Google.
What is the difference between Profile Sync and review management?
Profile Sync sends your details to Google. Review management brings your Google and TheFork reviews into one inbox, where you answer them. Both use the same Google account, and each can be stopped without the other. See how review management works.
What does Profile Sync cost?
Profile Sync is part of your Stride website, with nothing to add. See the plans.
What happens if I disconnect Google?
Only the connection goes: your listings keep the details they have now. Before disconnecting, you stop what still syncs through the account, and the dashboard shows where.
