See What's New on Stride in August: Faster-loading pages, Cleaner, Consistent Looks and More
In August 2026, Stride shipped a wave of improvements to every customer website: faster-loading pages, stronger SEO so you are easier to find, clearer opening hours and special closures, restored map popups on your location page, a cleaner and more consistent design, and blog articles that now show their date. Behind the scenes, the editor, your domains, and your account all got steadier. Nothing to install, nothing to configure.
We improve your website every month, so it keeps working harder without you touching a thing. Here is what landed this month, and what each change means for your business.
Faster-Loading Pages
Your pages now send less code, and the small repeated parts load from a content delivery network, so they arrive quicker. And after we deploy an update, your existing page keeps serving instantly while the new version rebuilds in the background, so a visitor never lands on a slow page mid-update.
Easier to Find on Google
A batch of technical SEO fixes landed together: cleaner pagination, correct canonical and hreflang tags, fixed sitemaps, one H1 per page, and blog dates that search engines can actually read. Your exceptional opening hours and closures are now written into the structured data search engines rely on, and your address reads correctly. These are the quiet levers behind getting found, now handled for you on your [restaurant website](/solutions/restaurant).
Clearer Opening Hours and Special Closures
Your hours display got a proper overhaul. When you set an exceptional period, visitors can switch between your special hours and your usual ones. The closed badge now shows the next day and time you open, with no blank gaps. Closure notes work by touch and keyboard; the current day is highlighted correctly, including Sunday, and expired special periods drop off on their own.
Your Location Map Works Again
On your points-of-sale map, clicking a marker shows a popup again, with the translated details and a link through to the establishment. Those popups were coming up empty before, so this quietly restores a way customers find their way to your door.
A Cleaner, More Consistent Look
Several design refinements shipped across sites. Text and immersive sections now follow a consistent composition, and a set of layouts that had been mirrored the wrong way, including lists, section buttons, slideshows, mosaics, and cards, are corrected. Stacked carousels swap the large framed arrows for a slim progress indicator that fills as they play. Hovering a list now highlights the item you are on instead of dimming the whole list, label logos keep their proportions, and titles no longer overlap in narrow layouts.
Blog Articles Show Their Date
Your blog posts now display their publication date, which readers and search engines both look for. Homepages with several slides keep the same look, with a cleaner heading structure underneath, and long titles are trimmed more neatly in browser tabs and search previews.
Behind the Scenes: A Smoother Editor
For anyone editing their own site, the legal-information form now saves even with the optional fields blank, turning off the secondary button sticks, and virtual visits can be switched on before you add their content. Google connections are steadier too: unverified locations can no longer be picked by mistake, and review syncing reuses your existing Business Profile links, which matters for businesses with several locations.
Domains and Account
Managing several domains is smoother. Secondary domains get HTTPS, your first custom domain is set as the main one, and DNS is applied to the rest. Domain orders and their status are kept correctly, with the right expiry and billing details. Built-in Stride subdomains are now real registered domains, so the links in your emails always work even before you add a custom domain, and account avatars upload again.
Why Your Site Keeps Getting Better
This is what a living website looks like. You set it up once, and it keeps improving on its own: faster, easier to find, always current. No rebuilds, no maintenance, no surprise invoices. That is the promise behind every [restaurant website](/solutions/restaurant) we manage on the [Stride platform](/platform).
